Alan M. Atkinson, D.O., FCCP

Dr. Atkinson is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. He is a graduate of Hope College and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. His training continued at Richmond Heights General Hospital and Botsford General Hospital. He has appointments as the Medical Director of the Sparrow Hospital Sleep Center and Assistant Clinical Professor at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Atkinson is married and has two sons. He is an accomplished bassist and enjoys cycling and running.

David K. Young, D.O., FCCP

Dr. Young is board certified in pulmonary and sleep medicine. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Young continued his training at Grandview Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Young is married, has one daughter, and enjoys music, reading and skiing.

Dr. Burnett is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary medicine. He is a graduate of Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas and Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He trained at Garden City Hospital, Providence Hospital and Sinai Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Burnett practiced pulmonary medicine in Topeka, Kansas, for 11 years before joining PCCC. Dr. Burnett is married, has three children, and enjoys running and family activities. Dr. Burnett is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Michigan State University and the Pulmonary Medical Director at Sparrow Specialty Hospital.

Jennifer R. Ely, D.O., FCCP

Dr. Ely is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. She is a graduate of Grand Valley State University and Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She continued her training at Genesis Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Appointments include Medical Director of Pulmonary Diagnostics and Rehabilitation at Sparrow Hospital and Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at MSU College of Human Medicine. Dr. Ely is married and has two children. She enjoys running, gardening, and family activities.

Dr. O'Brien is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and critical care medicine. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and Midwestern University; Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ. He continued his training at the University of Illinois at Chicago where he completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine. Dr. O'Brien is married and has three children He enjoys sailing, camping and family activities.

Christopher T. Huhta, M.D., FCCP.

John R. Armstrong, M.D., FCCP

Dr. Huhta is board certified in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. He received his medical degree from the Honors Integrated Pre-Medical/Medical School Program at the University of Michigan Medical School. He completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care at the University of Iowa Hospitals and clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Huhta is a clinical assistant professor for the Department of Internal Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and a member of the American Thoracic Society. His areas of special interest are the diagnosis, staging, and multidisciplinary management of lung cancer, interventional bronchoscopy, and the management of complex interstitial lung disease. Dr. Huhta is married and has two children. He enjoys golfing, fly fishing and family activities.

Dr. Khaleeq is board certified in pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, Neurocritical Care Medicine, and sleep medicine. He is a graduate of Khyber Medical College in Peshawar, Pakistan. He continued his training at Drexel University College of Medicine and Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he completed his fellowship in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine. Dr. Khaleeq is married and has two children. He enjoys running, music and family activities.

Corey M. O'Brien, D.O.

Kellie is a board certified Physician Assistant. She is a graduate of Western Michigan University where she majored in Biomedical Science and minored in Chemistry. She then returned to WMU for her graduate work in Physician Assistant Studies. After graduation she worked in Internal Medicine in Arizona for five years. Upon returning to Michigan she worked in Geriatrics for six years before joining PCCC. Kellie is married and she has three sons. She enjoys traveling, music, reading and golf.
